The Debbie Rayl
KINDNESS FOR KIDS PROGRAM

When children are in need, teachers and school counselors are often the first to notice. The Kindness for Kids Program supports educators in Green Local, Manchester Local, North Canton City, and Barberton City Schools by reimbursing them for basic necessities—such as food, clothing, and school supplies—they purchase for students facing hardship.

With generous hearts, educators often quietly meet these needs out of their own pockets. Kindness for Kids helps ease that burden while encouraging acts of kindness for students who need them most.

In 2026, the program expanded to include youth development opportunities that build confidence, foster meaningful connections, and encourage personal growth through positive group and community experiences.

This program is dedicated to Debbie Rayl, a retired Green Local Schools educator, and to all educators who go above and beyond for their students. Thank you for caring for our children and making a difference in their lives!

“He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, ‘Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.’ “
